In thinking with the Church to build a better and just world, CLC nurtures and empowers its members to heed the call of Jesus Christ to make concrete the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
As a discerning community, bringing our faith and Ignatian spirituality into mission is an integral part of our CLC Charism. Our deep roots in apostolic mission is found in our CLC General Principles and Norms, and numerous World CLC documents. The Apostolic Action and Advocacy (AAA) office was formed to be of service to the whole national community of CLC-USA to foster CLC’s apostolic initiatives and ministries across the USA as one apostolic body on mission. This includes supporting the communal discernment processes: "Discern, Send, Support, Evaluate" (DSSE) leading to these works.
Christ has sent us on mission as members of the pilgrim People of God to be His witnesses before all people by our attitudes, words and actions. (CLC General Principle No. 8)
Background
