May 2, 2025KCLC-West had 2025 Ignatian Spirituality Annual Retreat from April 23 to April 27, 2025 at Price of Peace Abbey in Oceanside, CA.Fr. Keunsang (Simon) Lee, SJ. directed the retreat for 29 retreatants. The theme of the retreat was on the death/resurrection/ascension of Jesus. Fr. Lee explained the principles and foundations ( SE #23.), and how we should pray and discern discomfort in an easy-to-understand manner, and led us into deep prayer during the retreat.The retreatants all agreed with the words that Jesus leads us to Him while experiencing ‘ignorance, denial, and confusion’ and failing and collapsing. The retreatants learned that the constant movement toward Jesus against our confused minds is the path we must take toward the resurrection that is connected to death. We realized that Jesus was always with us at the moment of our death/failure, and in his resurrection, our souls were also revived.
