The Munduruku chiefs were visiting the UN the following day to tell the story of how proposed dams on their ancestral rivers will impact the rainforest, the rich biodiversity of native plants and animals, and destroy the lives of their tribal people.
CLC members had a chance to meet the chiefs, hear their stories firsthand, and listen to and participate in traditional Munduruku prayers and songs.
